Project Runway- Season 4

As I said, I'll blog more about Project Runway Season 4. Yesh, I finish watching already. Very nice!

Just in case you have not pay my previous post a visit, Project Runway is a competition reality series features host supermodel Heidi Klum and a panel of industry luminaries, including judges Michael Kors, top women's and men's wear designer and Nina Garcia, Elle magazine fashion director, as they decide who is “in” and who is “out.”, and Tim Gunn as a mentor to the contestants as they navigate weekly fashion challenges. - BravoTv, 2008-

Heidi Klum, can't believe that she's already at the age of 34, mother of 3 child! @_@


Well, there're all together 14 episode, and I won't wanna talk episode by episode, bet you will take time to read all as well. I'll kiss this post, keep it short and simple I mean.

At the beginning of the show, there were 15 contestants. Carmen, Chris, Christian, Elisa, Jack, Jillian, Kevin, Kit, Marion, Rami, Ricky, Simone, Steven, Sweet P and Victorya. One or more designers are eliminated each week.

I'll only show which designs that impressed me the most. >.<

I like episode 6 - Eye Candy so much. In that episode, they brought designers to the Hershey's flagship store in Time Square, New York to crab whatever they want as their raw material. yaya, it's all about chocolate and candy!! hahaha. They were so happy with this task and having fun eating chocolate while sewing. =)

Design by Chris, modeled by Marcia. Wow, he actually turn the Hersey's chocolate bag into a dress! (hmmm, I wonder what it should call, is not dress, right?)

Christian's design, modeled by Lea. Omg, isn't it gorgeous? He using only the wrapping papers of to Peanut butter cups to finish this dress and once again complete it earlier that other designers! He's a genius!

Somehow, the winner of the challenge was Rami. Sorry, I did not save the photo, coz I don't really like it. hahaha.

Episode 8 - En Grade. In this episode, designers required to creat an avant-garde design inspired by their models' hairstyles (of course, models went saloon before they matched up with the designers) and a ready-to-wear design that expresses the essence of the avant-garde design.

This challenge, designers worked in a team of 2. The team comprised ofChris and Christian won this challenge and their design, INCREDIBLY fierce~ hahaaha, Christian overused phrase, fierce. B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L

Episode 9 - Even Designers Get the Blues. Their challenge was to create an iconic denim look that captures the spirit of the 501 legacy using Levi's denim.

Ricky was the winner of this challenge. Wohoo, if I'm slim enough, I would wanna wear this, nice!

On the 11th episode, designers have been brought to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The designers had had to choose an inspirational piece from one of three wings -- the Greek and Roman Sculpture courtyard, the European Painting wing, or the Temple of Dendur -- and create a look of their choice.

OMG!!!! Design by Christian, modeled by Lisa. Oh my, this outfit is so so nice, and yeah, he won this challenge. What had inspired him was a Spanish painting!

I realised that I didn't show the designers' photo. Wonder how they look like? hahaha.

Guess what, besides Michael Kors, Nina Garcia and Heidi Klum, Victoria Beckham was the guest judge! fuiyoh.

Each of the 3 finalist has been given 3 months to complete a collection of 12 clothes for the final. I have edit their collection by combining all the designs into a photo respectively, to save my time uploading them here.

Jillian's collection. Ermmm, not bad, but not my favourite I have to say.

Rami's collection. Omigosh, I heart his collection so much, wearable and adorable!!!! And it's colorful if compare with the other two designers'.

Christian's collection. As always, his designs are superb! =) He is just 21-year-old! And Victoria likes his design so much and asked him to design for her.

Who's the winner?

Yeah, Christian was the Project Runway season 4 winner!!! I love their design so so much, either one of them wins, I also will be happy. -.-

Okay, I'm waiting for the 5th season which will be showed on July 2008! =) can't wait to see another good designers!!! Owh, how I wish that I can design that well too~~~ then I can design and sew my own clothes! So nice! But I doubt of my own creativity, as Heidi said: In fashion, one day you are in, and the next day, you'll out! >.<

(p/s: this would be my toughest post, so far, =.= I've taken like more than 5 hours to write this. T_____T I also wonder why so hard.)

The pursuit of happiness

Yesh! The war has finally over! I've gained my independence, for like 2 weeks. Oh well, forgot to mention that I've just watched "The pursuit of happiness" on HBO. Oh my, it's a very nice movie stars by Will Smith. Touching and meaningful~~~~~ I shall start pursuiting my happiness! =.=

The ultimate fight in the War

I left the very last two papers to go, on Tomorrow! yeah, can't wait to sit for it now! but NO! I have ton of notes remain untouch now! T______________T

Right after this post, I have to stick back to the desk and kiss goodbye my laptop with my broken heart. *sweat sweat*

Ok, I have lotta things to do after exam!

it's quite sad for knowing most of my friends are going trips with family and friends during the 2 weeks holidays, and I know I can only go MidValley or 1Utama. =(

FINE! I can stay alive without trips! I'm proud of myself now. wtf

Neway, I want to watch Project Runway,Weeeee~~~~! I want to read magazine! I want to play The Sims 2! I want to watch Gossip Girls! I want to exercise! I want to sleep! I want to shopping! I want to sing k! I want to watch movie! I want to.... do anything I like! =D

Oh my. Do you know about Project Runway? I have to say that this is my favourite TV show ever! I love watching Project Runway so so much!

Project Runway is a Peabody Award-winning American reality television series on the Bravo network which focuses on fashion design.

The contestants compete with each other to create the best clothes and are usually restricted in time, materials, and theme. Their designs are judged and one or more designers are eliminated each week.

I'm currently watching Season 4 from youtube. I used to watch the previous seasons from TV, and I willing to stay awake until 4 in the midnight just to watch the repeat of the show! hahaha.

Well, I watched until episode 6 nia so far for this 4th season, I wanted to continue, but ton of notes waiting for me now. aiks aiks.

I might wanna blog more on these after the bloody final! I want to! I'm so excited to write about it! And I'll show how amazing their designs were!!!! Omygosh.

Saturday! faster come to me! I wanna continue watching, I can't wait to see who's the winner! shhhhh, don't tell me who was it. I know he would win. AHHAHAA.

Okay, continue with my revision. Albeit now it's very last minute for me to revise, as Tim always says: Make it work! =)

Idiot

What the!!!! The story is like this, when I'm still a newbie in blogspot, my cousin once told me that think carefully for your URL ya, once you set, there's no return, means can't change. That's why this blog is created.

BUT! I just found out that I actually can change my URL in the setting!!!! So easy and convenient! Rather than create a brand new blog.

I was so angry with such innocent me!

But you know what?

After a few seconds of the very-angry-moment, I calm down.

And I even getting more angry with the stupid me now. Know why?

Coz, what am I thinking?! If I simply change my URL for the previous blog, no one is getting to know that I have already changed my URL! I mean people can't even log on to bling-bling-diamond to ever get the news about the changing IF I change it that way!!!! you get what I mean??!!

You may think that I still can change the URL only and tell people by using either MSN or what, butI don't think I will tell people that I've changed the URL one by one loh.

OMG. I don't know I should laugh or cry now? where's my brain?!

The grand opening

Yeap! Rika's still here, still in the blog sphere I mean. Just like what I have mentioned in my previous blog, I decided to create this blog is just because I don't really like the previous URL, bling-bling-diamond >.<>.< I have no mood at all to study, even if I'm holding the notes, my heart is still not with me. T_____T what should I do? someone please motivate me!!!!

Phew, there's ton of works to do in managing a new blog. So, do forgive me for the mess over here. I promise I will update more and arrange here immediately right after my exam ya! Wait for me~~~~~ darling. I may not be a perfect blogger, but I'll make you love me. =.= Apparently, I also don't know what I am saying. I should back to my notes now. lazy bugs, go away!
